Found this very nice and informative blog for Nuvi's. Might as well share it with our Nuvi users. GMXT users can also learn from this as the UI of Nuvi's similar to GMXT :

I did a receive data from unit then edited that icons, comments, etc on mapsource. save the data as maps.gdb then sent it to unit again,

Why is it that whenever after receiving data from my unit i will be prompted that this and that waypoints are already existing then im asked if i want to replace them.

I chose yes. and lo! 64 waypoints became 100.

did the same process now i chose not to replace the waypoints.

Again! 64 waypoints became 100...

helps pls. I want to be able to overwrite the waypoints from my mapsource to my nuvi and not vice versa. except for new waypoints saved in my nuvi of course...

is this possible?

delete original waypoints in your nuvi.
when you edit your waypoints in mapsource its like creating a separate waypoint thus the additional nos.

Finally, i've been given the unlock code.

now, how do i actually get to unlock demo map 1.09?

recently i tried this

utilities > manage map products > unlock regions > add
then input unlock code.

is that it? why is it that when i try to send from pc to device the map box is grayed out?

help... excited na ako... hihihihi.

go to the general issue section. DL the 1.09 contributors version and the 1.09b patch. intructions are there
