hello guys, just got my nuvi 250 yesterday and i was reading your post and followed the instruction...but unfortunately cannot get my gps working. it is stuck on locating satellite. here is what i did.... installed training center, mapsource and the Phil map. after opening the mapsource this is where i got lost... do i need to click around the map? i tried this and it highlighted the map with pink color and then i tried to send it to device. but still cannot get any maps on my gps...still won't load the phil map and "trouble finding satellite"

Hi chasoy. After sending it to device, what was the prompt after? Was it sent succesfully? If it was, the map is now installed in your Nuvi. For first time satellite acquisition it does take a few minutes and you must have a clear and open view of the sky. and just to add... in simple laymans term
there are 2 maps 5.17 version which is not so complete
and the other one is 1.06 demo
as of now we are using the 1.06b FULL VERSION which is the latest version and only for the contributors
the 1.06 demo version serve as a basis for the junior member to see what is already there, so that when you contribute we wont have double entry
(btw, you cannot download the 1.06 DEMO map to your nuvi, you can only use it on the mapsource)
but you can download the free 5.17 map

try to have a lock on satellite first...

on the drop down menu of the mapsource does it say routable 5.17?
