This is great news, it will not only decongest the SLEX below but will give a nice alternative (albeit expensive) for others.

Hahaha, someone was using their coconut by scheduling the start of the toll charges right at the start of the long Easter holiday weekend I guess again that is so that people who are willing to pay for faster passage will actually have an advantage, as opposed to if it was free and everyone will want to go through the skyway.

i treid southbound direction this morning....around 12mins from pasay rd entry to alabang zapote (south station) exit...

add'l info:
toll plaza near c5 is now closed and transfered on skyway between sucat and alabang.

add'l info on skyway alabang extension:
- from sucat to new toll plaza, it narrows down to 2-lanes each direction.
- from new toll plaza to slex exit/entry, still 2-lanes each direction.
- from slex entry/exit to alabang, further narrow to 1-lane each direction.
- alabang entry/exit is adjacent to westgate, near caltex station.
