Survived Haiyan (Yolanda) in Surigao City

We had some stiff winds but nothing severe. None of my neighbors lost their tin roofs. We lost power at 4 AM because a pole fell over. It is still out. Water was out for about 12 hours due to flooding from overflowing rivers. The rivers were full from the mountains, not storm surge.

Took a ride around the city a few hours ago. If it was held together by more than two nails, it survived. I saw two nipa huts blown over and one nipa hut washed away from a minor landslide. Virtually no damage along the coastline from storm surge.

We here hope you all fared as well or better.

Glad to know you're all ok there. We here in Butuan barely felt the brunt of Yolanda. Thanks God. Here's hoping and praying for the best for our brothers there in the Visayas. Godspeed guys.
