Re-radiating GPS Antenna

It should be cheaper. Since it is a small item. I think 2 to 3 pcs will not exceed the minimum size and weight of the package (for TNT and DHL). This is also depend on the shipper.

We wont use them, customs tax is too much through those channels.

I computed it and estimated to come out as 2000 pesos landed all in. Package weight is 1 pound but I still need to know volumetric weight once all orders are in.
Once group buy is final, it will only take 10 to 14 days to get here.

Are we allowed to do group buy? Please advice, I dont want to be spanked by mods. haha

No need for that, I'll take care of it. Im actually a personal shopper for some of my friends. I also do sourcing for a living with the family biz so I know how it works. :-) The world is our shopping mall wait 2 secs to reload the image

I got the Gilsson already!!! It was just plug and play. I didnt use the windshield mount antenna anymore. I just had the magnetized head stick on to my sun roof. Only half of it is exposed and the other faced the metal portion of the sun roof. Surprisingly that got better reception. haha Must be the metal acting as part of the plane. I ran the wire from the driver side down to the a pillar then to my nuvi. Nuvi's located just at my left, above the ac vent. Its accessible at that part for typing and viewing.

Satellite lock is 3m at best and can hold it for 4m. Wow!!! It used to be 6 to 10. I'll post pictures later on, work muna. Long day ahead, TGIF!

Btw, quicker satt acquisition too. Btw, Im from a condo and surrounded by buildings. Its a real issue here... but now its not.

Btw, best position is to have it stick outsided the car. It can be run easily in between the weather strip as wire is really thin. Cars with sunroof can do it the way I did. But if it gets bad, I will get that antenna out. haha

If you're not comfortable to doing this, you can always just mount it up the windshield. But sayang as you wont maximize its true potential.

That good news, For me, i rather place it outside for maximum reception. Is it 3meters long? I think it used the metal roof of your car as part of the antenna.

I try my GPS a while ago. From my destination to the office. I was not able to lock on the satellite. probable because of the tint. We have the same location where we put our gps.

I don't know about this thread. We are not selling per se. Since, both of us are not seller but buyer. This is only a hobby of ours. right? i know they very strict with the rule. As long as you already informed them about the group buy and we don't see this Icon "" ha....

By the way, so far only 1 responded to this thread except me. Will the price be lower than 2k? I think some of the member might not respond if it is expensive.

Price online is 28.95 srp but its now on a special at 20.99. I can get it for 1 thousand pesos then add 900 to 1000 pesos for standard 2 lb delivery charge via Johnny Air cargo. It comes out 2000 pesos.

If we can get 10 guys, price will go down to 1500.

Price is very good for what it can do. It actuallys makes your gps efficient and less prone to error. I've been enjoying spot on gps the whole day yesterday. Best of 3 (c5, new manila) and worst of 6 (edsa near anapolis and Eastwood)

Product comes standard with built in magnet, suction cup metal tray. Connector is 90 deg mcx and length can be 3 to 25 feet. Length from Amazon where I got mine is fixed at 9 ft which is more than enough! Customization of length can only be thru Gilsson direct but their price is 19.95 plus 6.95.

I can also safely say that my speed readings on the subaru are now far more accurate via gps since my margin of error is lower. Thanks to the great satellite lock!

If you want garmin original, naku be prepared to pay the price. Its $99.99 direct and around 57.98 best so far at sale price.

I've tried various positions inside and this is the best place.

With this position, Im able to get the best gps lock on my nuvi.

Here's where my Nuvi 765 TWN (version 2.9 firmware) is at, just within my reach.


I usually get 3 to 4 accuracy on average. :-) No more long waiting times for acquiring satellites as well.

Wow! that is a good reception. Yesterday i saw AVT gps unit selling at MOA. which include the external antenna. They demonstrate the unit to me. but i was reluctant to tell him that i only need the antenna. ha...

I just received the re-radiating antenna I ordered online! I ordered it last Thursday and received it today.

Initial tests shows that it really works. I tested it in my garage with the active antenna on the gate (partial view of the sky only) and the radiating antenna part and my Nuvi/iPhone well inside the garage.

My Nuvi 300 picked up more sats and increased its accuracy up to 6-7m. My iPhone, which previously needs a clear view of the sky to lock on the sats got a 17m accuracy!

Will post more test results...

Just got my re-radiating antenna. The accuracy is only 3meters. Good thing is i don't have to wait too long for signal lock and the car icon is steady. unlike before it rotates when i stop. I think the re radiating antenna is the way to go. Since newer model GPS don't have external antenna jack. Will try it for few week and see the difference. I appreciate more than before.
