@oj88: thanks for the tips... now i have an idea how to deal with electronic devices that came in contact with water. A few months back, i left my cellphone outside the house in the open porch. Then it rained hard that night. It was only in the morning that i remembered that i left it outside. It was totally drenched and water logged. Tried drying it off with hair dryer but after a few days, it was still dead. Decided to bring to a cellphone repair shop. Seems like some connections were toast (probably when i tried to re-start it) but they were able to solder it back. Spent 500 bucks but my phone was repaired and is now almost like new.
My advice is to just bring it to the repair shop so as not to risk further damage. Imho, diy is good if you are familiar and comfortable with taking things apart and putting them back together and like to take risks with your device. But to be safe and avoid regrets later, much better to bring it to qualified technicians...
