I tried out the map and it's pretty OK but might be confusing in some areas...

on behalf of the roadguide member, welcome to roadguide.
right now your using the v5.17 map, its a teaser map, wait till you get the contributors map then you wont be confuse coz its more complete and the resolution is better.
how toget the contributors map?.... contribute and its yours free

if you have a question just ask and post away, im sure some gentleman or ladies will be glad to point you in the right direction

I wanted to upload some POI's today but After I installed Mapsource (6.15.6) and ran the unzipper for the Philippine routable map from http://konkursbeschleuniger.de.p11.h...klinc_5.08.exe

I ran Garmin Mapsource but I don't see the Philippine Routable 5.x dropdown...

Can anyone help me install ?

try this
since you have just one map, then maybe you cant see the v5.17(5.08) map.
pleaseinstall the v1.06 demo map here: http://roadguide.ph/forums/showthread.php?t=17
(but the v1.06 DEMO map, you CANNOT transfer to your unit) this is the map that the contributors uses, since you are a junior member, it just serve as a basis, so that when you contribute, we wont have double entry

I am not confused on how to add maps to mapsource -.-

try installing it again but save first then run

I think i'm missing something in the setup instructions... sir do you have YM or any other messenger so I can contact you better?

Hmm it's also worth mentioning that my OS is Windows 7... Mapsource maybe having problems with this

dont think so coz a lot of our member uses the demo windows 7. but if i were you i would try to save then run the 5.08(5.17) again. save first then run
