how to install phil maps to garmin nuvi50 LM

I have garmin nuvi50 LM bought in the US and has North america maps installed. How can I install philippine maps that is compatible with the gadget. thanks

Hi you need to download MapSource application then download the Standard Map (if you are not yet a contributor) here. Load the Standard Philippine Map in MapSource then connect your Nuvi to your computer, select the map in the MapSource and send the map to your Nuvi.

Better still use the new Basecamp released and supported by Garmin, mapsource is now redundant.

This supports all the new models of Garmin, mapsource does not always accept them.

Thanks for this info. I have been reading about Basecamp but I did not know that it was compatible with Nuvi. I guess it's time for me to try Basecamp.
