Just saying hi to all RoadGuide forumers out there. Currently thinking of buying a standalone GPS device as my iPhone's horribly slow at pinpointing (while sucking tons of battery power). Any recommendations? I'm looking for the most affordable one while having the biggest screen - Nuvi 50 is one of the top choices

I agree with you about apps vs dedicated GPS, I still prefer dedicated devices than ones that try to do it all. That said both my phones are "smart" phones

Nuvi 50 is a nice model!

Just note that there is no convenient way of clearing trip log with the Nüvi 50. You need to reset it to clear the trip log.
