    good day po sa lahat... im working for government for a year now.. im asssigned for a reforestation project at yun work ko po eh taga digitized ng map ng mga location ng project ng bayan namin... location ko po ay sa SEbaste, ANtique... dami ko po ata maitutulong pagdating sa mga waypoints at tracks dito sa panay...eto po gamit ko garmin 76CSX medyo lumang model pero ok pa naman... dami ko na din data sa pc ko sa ofis... kaso madalas ako nasa field naki drop by lang ako mag net at nakita ko site nyo.. sana maging ka partner ko kayo dami ko pa rin kasi gusto matutunan pagdating sa field na to.. thanks po... have to explore your muna baka magkamali sa pag post... hope to contribute a lot soonerrrrrr....

          thanks for the welcomes!!!! im sorry haven't read the rules b4 posting here... hehe... anyway, am still using international marine point basemap of jan 2001 in my GPS... anybody has an updated one???? there's a big error once i downloaded my data and overlay it into topo map... thanks in advance...

            Welcome to road guide. You have mentioned of the error in overlaying to the topo map. I assumed that what you are using is the NAMRIA map. Please take note of the geographic setting in your GPS. If you want to overlay your data in the NAMRIA map, you should set the coordinate setting to LUZON. If your GPS is set to WGS84, you will get an error of around 150 to 200 meters depending on your geographic location.

            We are using similar GPS.

              Projection: UTM LUzon 51
              Still got errors...

              MAp: NAMRIA Topo Map 1:50000

              *** maybe the scanned maps is not perfectly georeferenced?
              --cud this be possible???

                can you please expound your statement "downloaded my data and overlay it into topo map"? in what form is your topo map, vector or raster data? if raster, was it georeferenced in arcview?

                and btw, please refrain from using text speak if you can help it... thanks
