Basically you need:
1. Install Mapsource (take note use version 6.15.7 only or lower)
2. Download free map 1.07 and install in your GPSr.
3. Download demo map 1.19 and use as basis for contribution (you can't upload to your GPSr the demo map).

I just followed your instruction and never encountered any problem.
It will be until next month before I can really try my unit on land since I am still working offshore but thanks anyway.
I hope I can contribute in the near future...

During your free time, you can look through the 1.19 demo map and check areas that you are familiar with, in your case Valenzuela and just check if you know of any places or POIs that you can remember and not in the map, then make a list, when you get home you can visit those places and if it's there you can already save a waypoint and then contribute

in order for mapsource to work in your computer, it needs to see a garmin product... and thats training center
