newbie with nuvi 265

Newbie here, I just got my nuvi 265 . . . trying to dowload, i wish there is something simpler. anyway good to know there is a forum like this. it is very helpful. I travel mostly south but my nuvi 265 shows SLEX as JP rizal superhiway. will it give the right one after I download here?

Thank You for the warm welcome. I still can not download anything to my unit I have run most of the programs but I still have the same problems. I bought an 8G micro SD card thinking that there is not enough space with the preloaded map.

I travel a lot in the Philippines and I will certainly update the maps here as often as I can. Please help.

You can download the standard map gmapsupp.img. please visit the download threads and How to's (how to download maps to your GPS).
Also download our demo map ver 1.08 for your referrence of contribution.

Did you downloaded the standard map at the link below? and also Mapsource.

and the demo map 1.08 here below;

Should be no problem.

Notes:

Standard map - for your pc and gps and
Demo Map 1.08 - for your pc only to check your contribution.

After you contributed enough you can avail the 1.08 full version. You can read the details when you read the how tos.

I did it!

I finally did it. I was able to download the maps. I will be using it on my next out of town trips, it is really cool. I am also using the unit as a handsfree kit. Thanks a lot guys.

Try to gather waypoints and tracks and contribute so you could get latest contributor map.
