Thanks Tofu ,we might have missed something . Hi Dredd when you say " A) I learned how to enable the logging feature of my NUVI750 but I don't know how to make it log every second?
    B) I noticed the the points in my tracks are sometimes far from each other,"
C.) how do I Activate off road feature when logging track?

A). for this, we have assumed you know now to activate the 1 sec logging feature(aka easter egg feature)however since for point B since your track points are far each other, then maybe the 1 sec logging feature is not yet activated(which contradicts to point A) hence referred you to proper thread
    B) refer to A
    C. For this, this is just the setting in the Nuvi .

Please ask if it still unclear as we are all willing to help:thumb

also, how do I Activate off road feature when logging track?

      thanks!
      hi dredd.
if you can activate easter egg track as per hbt, dont worry with off road feature. this feature doesnt affect easter egg track.
ps: extraction of easter egg from nuvi to pc is different. you have to dl wnutrak software.

        1 Second tracks are different

        Hey, dredd,

Assuming you used the easter egg to activate 1-second tracking, if you're using Mapsource to retrieve tracks from your 750, you are NOT uploading the 1-second tracks. They're stored differently. Please read the thread at the link hbt sent you earlier, specifically post #44.

          Thanks!

1st...thank you all for showing interests in my queries...

Well, I didn't know that the 1 sec. logs is different from the logs I see in my mapsource and that I have to use another software to convert the 1 sec log to be able to load it in mapsource, THAT'S WHERE I GOT LOST... but now it's ok. (see pic below) and thank you guys, you were all very helpful.

          another questions:

          1. refer to the pic above, is that normal? (my log is not exactly on the road.)

          2. @jspalaroan - sir, clarify ko lang, got a little confused here. again...
          you said:
"Of course if your gps has an easter egg feature, you can use this both either you are in the offroad mode or faster time mode etc"

my understanding is that the 1sec. logging feature, once activated, is enabled in any mode (off road, faster time, shorter distance) am I correct? or may iba ka pa ibig sabihin?

          3. does anyone have a link about the easter eggs and other hidden features of Garmins Nuvi? (Like when you touch the signal indicator for several secs. a detailed satellite information will show, like when you hold the lower right part of the screen while booting something will happen, and of course the easter eggs like the 1sec. logging)

that's all for now, i'll try to upload some waypoints today to test kung tama ang ginagawa ko, then if ok, i'll upload more...thank you guys!

            hi sir dredd,

its just normal the the easter egg doesnt follow the street. you can upload that one in the "track correction" thread
as per reiji, if you switch on your easter egg on our nuvi, it wiil automatically go to the off road feature

            hope this clearthings up

thanks and have a good day sir

yes sir...i converted some files using wnutrack, there's a file gps.bin inside some folder, along with nav.bin and traffic.bin files, but some folders don't have gps.bin only nav.bin and traffic.bin, why is that?

                      Hey, dredd,

I've found with my 500 that if the unit is turned on for a short time, such as after unplugging the USB cable from the computer, it wants to boot and start a new track. However, when the unit is turned off immediately, there is still a folder that's created with only the nav.bin file and nothing else. If your unit is on for a while and tracking, the gps.bin file will show up.

I usually delete the folders with only a nav.bin file in them - no worries.

ah...maybe that happens when I accidentally turn on the device then as soon as it boots i turn it off again...that figures...

                        thanks!

                          Correct

Now if your 1 sec tracks are not too far as compared in our map(there's a guide on this in "how to section"), for me, I do not include it anymore in correction thread, what we intend to contribute are the ones with big discrepancies with reference to our map and as well as new tracks.
