Bad news, for me anyway. I was wondering how come the Nuvi205 has not arrived yet, only to find out that the store in the US that I ordered it from did not have anymore stocks. Now I am back again searching for a simillar unit within the same price range

Right. And after installing the standard map in mapsource, please install the demo map also. Next step would be to send the standard map to your gps...

The demo map is the same map as the contributor's map and only difference is that you can't install it in the gps. The reason why junior members are advised to download the demo map is for you to see the current/latest coverage of the Roadguide map and to check your planned contributions against the demo map to avoid duplication. Please do go over the "How to's" so you'll be more enlightened if you want to contribute to avail yourself of the contributor's map which is way way better than the standard map.

As regards the training download, it's just for you to be able to install mapsource and nothing more. You can uninstall it now if you want since it already serves it's purpose... HTH

So I suggest once you get your unit be sure to learn how to install mapsource on your pc,,...

yes. its called waypoints. when already included in map, then it is POI.
waypoints and tracks can be sent out from gps unit to mapsource.

6.15 is slower than 6.13 coz 6.15 have better appearance

This morning, I have been trying to record places that I went to, to start my contribution. What I did was record it in the Garmin by recording the actual place e.g. a school, a gas station, a Mcdonald resto. I understand that I have to accumalte these waypoints then transfer the data to the Mapsource (demo map) if these points are not yet seen there.Is this statement correct? After that what would I do next?

Yes you compare your contribution against the demo map using mapsource..
I suggest that you accumulate them first then submit... saves you a lot of time...

If not on demo map, pls gather it in one gdb file.
Follow waypoint std as to naming, location, symbols, etc.

If its on demo map but you are sure that yours is correct location, you can still upload it. But a delete file of the existing poi should be uploaded also.
