Hi Jan and Borgie,
Thanks for the clarification. Couldn't reply because my internet connection went down for a few days. Could only browse, zero uploads, even replying takes so much time mostly reports an error.
Anyway, I only have experience on GMXT so I thought it's just the same. Funny thing though, I've read that some units allow you to enable and disable certain maps on the gpsr. Does that mean it is able to load multiple map files or just one map file with multiple maps contained in it?
In my case, I can load many map files and just rename the map I need to gmapsupp.img, very handy as there is no need transfer from mapsource everytime I change location. And I can do it anytime because my gpsr is running on windows.
My guess is, with nuvi's, if it is also possible to access the memory card via usb or card reader and just rename the old map into something else before you load a new map from mapsource. Then the only problem remaining would be to rename a map file instead of uploading it everytime you need it, but you would need a computer to do that.
