OruxMaps for Android compatible with Garmin IMG maps

OruxMaps is out and free for Android and it accepts Garmin IMG maps.

However it only accepts unlocked img maps so for the meantime, you can only load here unlocked garmin PH maps by OSMph.

Hi, I just tried OruxMaps with our free RG map. It seems OruxMaps has a hard time rendering the map, it is as if it is treating the map tiles as picture files (e.g. bmp or gif) instead of vectors. The redrawing is sluggish. Did you find a way to eliminate this?

The rendering is really not good. I install the OSM map and I don't like what I see. I prefer the Mapfactor Navigation 11

Yes it only handles OSM map that is being updated monthly. OruxMaps can only handle our free map and not the locked map and therefore is outdated compared to OSM.
