that's weird. you should be getting .exe file which will automatically extract to .nm2 files as stated here

after purchasing and installing the program:

download and run the navitel program installer.
goto c:\jklinc\navitel and copy all the nm2 files there

connect your phone or pnd to your pc
locate the folder /navitel/mapcontents (or similar)
and paste all the maps in there.

disconnect phone / pnd from the PC.
start navitel program, maps will be indexed and program will be ready for use.

enjoy.

what is your operating system? does your OS support winrar or winzip or the likes of it?

are you trying to download the navitel map (that doki linked) on a pc or an android tablet?

on an android tablet it is a samsung galaxy tablet 7.0 using the android O/S

OK this newbie just found out the link must be made from a pc to download the files as nm2 files.

haven't tried that. but you might be able to do so if you use unrar or androzip file manager. there's free version of that in the google apps market.

sorry but a .bin file cannot be read by winzip or winrar as I have already tried it.

download it again and follow below.

i tried it on my android device.
here's what i've done.

downloaded the navitel map from this link




i got Roadguide.ph.navitel.11.07.exe file downloaded (not .bin file)

i renamed the file from Roadguide.ph.navitel.11.07 .exe to Roadguide.ph.navitel.11.07.rar




i installed "unrar" application downloaded from google play android shop.







then extracted the file on same folder.

it extracted into 8 files .nm2 format



then transfer it to the map folder or wherever folder you wanted your atlas to be.

open navitel software and create your atlas as we have previously discussed.

again, download it again and make sure you have the .exe file downloaded and not .bin

i hope this guide will solve your problem now.

pls try to download again.

if you still get a .bin file, see if it is 47.8mb in size.
if yes, try to rename it from .bin to .rar (or .exe) and try to extract it.

Ok I got it working, stayed up till 4 am what I did was download it on my pc where it downloaded as an exe file and ran it it created 8 nm2 files. I copied the files to my Microsd memory card and placed the card in the phone tab, then copied the files from the card to the navitel program. it is now working. I guess I will have 30 days to try it out and see if it is to my liking.
