I discovered this app for iPhone when I was looking for navigation apps that use data from OpenStreetMaps since I'm going abroad. It's a very handy and affordable navigation solution for iPhone but its drawback is that it requires an internet connection to load its maps similar to google maps. (I have a huawei e585 for mobile wifi so it's okay). You do have an option to download sections of the openstreetmap that's about 38miles squared but I haven't managed to get it working properly yet.
On the iPhone 4 it gets a signal very quickly and my navigation experience is good so far. The nuvi is still better though but it works very well for its asking price of 3 USD when you compare it to Papago for iPhone. There are many in-app purchases though (voices, extra maps) that run for 0.99 but what comes with the base 3 USD will already go far. (as long as you have a data connection)
Update: Seaching for POIs sometimes results in the app crashing.
