need an updated gps map of the philippines

hello to all,

im a newbie here, and i just bought a new garmin nuvi 250 gps. the store in which i bought it loaded it with a map of the philippines, but its an outdated map. i now want to get a latest map of the philippines. can anyone tell me where to get a new one?and how to upload it to my device? by the way, my unit comes with a space for a mini sd card. whats its use? thanks in advance for your replys.
