Yes you may be correct but I don't intend to buy the WinMo version as Windoze in a phone really sucks! I had one before and sold it after 3 days of use and at a considerable loss at that.

The BlackBerries do not have multiple processors and I am not aware of any smartphone that has one (if we have the same definition of processor). For navigation, the processing of GPS data is not CPU intensive. The graphics performance of the device will matter most so that it can display and update the roads, ploygons, etc. at a fast pace (real time).

Some phones do have 2 processors, one for the gsm data and one for the computer functions. Ordinary phones force it on one processor hence they are slow and sometimes have to stop some other functions to receive a call or mms msg.

Okay. It would be very interesting to know what specific phone(s) your are referring to.

Or you may be pointing to phones with 3G functions compared to those with GPRS/EDGE only. With 3G, you can receive data (mms/BB messages/emails/surf the web) while you are on a voice call. With GPRS/EDGE only, you cannot receive data while on voice call. Data can only be received/transmitted when you hang up.

Borgie: The WinMo version will probably be based on Mobile XT. For the Linux one, it would probably be a lot better.

finally got my nuvifone g60 yehey!
ok reviews so far ...
pros:
like a nuvi, you can save waypoints
nice resolution
automatic compass
elevation
automatic setting of clock and date
transit
english UI
manage to install the 5.17 and works fine

cons:
it has the where i am screen but it wont do the 1234 track record, dont know if it can trace track
still have to get use to it to know(more reading for me)

1st summary:
the yehey factor still there, satisfied with the unit so far. still have to tinker with it. its like iphone only better (debate, debate, debate, joke joke for the iphone fanatics)
