Logging a track

Thank you for all this information on track logging. I'm a newbe with a Garmin 1490 and will try logging in the first week of October a track from San Andres to Pandan in the north of Catanduanes, . I would be interested if someone knows how to use the micro SD card as a memory. I think 32GB would be OK. Any help is welcome.

I'm not familiar with the 3100 series but you could replace the firmware to a PH version if your unit is a 1300 series.

Still deciding if I'll buy it here or at Taiwan. Since the difference is not that big.

Does the 1300 have the lifetime/longtime map updates, traffic updates even firmware updates?

As far as I know only units in the US offers LM or Lifetime Map updates. The one that my Brother has 1300 was bought from the US and is LM I doubt if you can find one in Taiwan or elsewhere for that country.
