help 255W blank

need help guys my nuvi 255w seemed to have conked out on me. when i connect it to my laptop it stops in the loading part where garmin logo is displayed. when i disconnect and try to turn it on, after the loading maps message all it shows is a black screen.....what do i do?

got it got it....i switched off, pressed right hand corner and turned on. device asked if i wanted to delete all user data, clicked yes. and its back to factory default. now loading map version 1.23 hope everything is ok.
