I like to buy gps (garmin nuvi) in the US & use it here in manila, is that possible i can install philippine map & where can find the software.

Yes you can use the Nuvi in Manila. About the software, you have to be a contributor to get the Phil map. Please feel free to browse the forum threads to familiarize yourself with the "GPS thing".

get the standard map from the download section. if you want to avail of the more advanced map, you will have to contribute data as amf correctly pointed out.
