    Best Garmin model to buy

Can someone help me? Ive been looking around but there seems to be no favorite model. The best that ive come up with is someone suggesting the models 255w and 765.

In this regard, what do you think would be the best model to get if you will use the garmin here in the philippines (metro manila). IT would be very much helpful for newbies if there's a FAQ section which details the differences of the top 3 favorite models and their differences.

I know other models which are more expensive have better features but how would a newbie know if the specific feature is usable here in the Philippines?

The 765 has several features that are currently not available/usable in the Philippines; Lane assist, 3D structures, FM Traffic receiver, to name a few. Although, a new feature I liked is the ability to change certain displayed information on the navigation screen. So instead of just the Estimated Arrival Time, you can set it to Distance to Destination, etc.

All that aside, I'd save the extra money and get the 255W if I were you.
    There's no place like 127.0.0.1

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend.

              heres my suggestion:
              for daily navigation, get 255w.
              for tracking, get 60csx.

thanks for the replies. I'll probably be getting the 255w as well unless you can recommend me a better alternative. =)

mine works fine, although if i compare it with my previous setup (N82 w/ Garmin XT), 255W is a bit delayed in recalculating route compared with N82.

Dont we have the capability to record our tracks like in XT?

nuvi 255 is capable of recording 1 sec. tracks aka easter egg, while XT dont.

not sure but i think the recalculating time can be adjusted.

recalculation time concerns more on the map not the unit.
latest map might require longer re-calc since it has more options to consider.
