Is this normal on a 255?

I'm not too sure if it's my Nuvi, or just being a Newbie

I was on annapolis this afternoon, on my way to edsa. When I turned right to edsa, my Nuvi showed me on a different road. Florida i think it was. This continued all the way until before the flyover on Ortigas where I went under to do a u-turn. That's the only time it said I was on edsa. Here's the log from roadtrip.


The other day naman, I was on Anonas, and the display showed i was off the road when I was just on anonas going to the bank.


Does this sometimes happen? Is it because i'm still on the crappy map? Is there something wrong with my Nuvi?

yes its normal. because of bad reception from the satellite.

alpha-q is correct...
nuvis normally are off by at least 3m...when satellite reception is poor, it can go up as high as 20m.
plus you are still using std map which way older than the current version of roadguide contributor's map.

Whew! thanks guys. I was beginning to think there was something wrong with my unit.

Yeah, i want that contributors map. Still fiddling with roadtrip though. And i haven't been able to convert the latest demo map to mac yet. Don't want to waste anyone's time by submitting stuff already submitted.
