Recorded tracks are "off" by few couples of meters

Roads are off by few meters.

Im not sure if this is due to my gps unit. However, what's interesting is most roads are exact overlay (well, not 100% exact) in my other recordings.

Roads are off by few meters.

Im not sure if this is due to my gps unit. However, what's interesting is most roads are exact overlay (well, not 100% exact) in my other recordings.

Pls check accuracy of your gps unit.
The lowest I got is around 7meters. Some goes up as high as 17meters.
Some also had accuracy of 4meters.
It depends on a lot of factors. Satellites, tall bldgs, etc.
This has been discussed here I just can remember the thread.
Do search for it if you are interested.
Also if map is off, it doesnt matter since it only serve as guide for wherever we want to go.

Maybe the original tracks used to create off tracks were taken from a gps unit with considerable offset.
We can submit tracks for existing road in 1-sec interval so our mods can correct our map wherever necessary.
