There are other ways that will earn you contributor status. Like checking the existing map for double/multiple entries all pointing to the same POI, or a wrongly positioned POI (you must be very familiar with the area to make this correction btw), naming of unnamed roads in the demo map and/or correcting roadnames (can be done by getting streetmaps with roadnames from your city/municipal planning offices and subdivision developers). In Google Earth you can trace rivers (highest priority), airports, golf courses, shopping centers, colleges/universities, cemeteries & other big landmark areas.
Sometimes you don't need to go far to map and make your contribution. Check the area near where you usually go around, are the important POI's in your area in the demo map? You can start from there as well ..Last edited by Borgie; 06-07-2009, 17:50.
