I tried to put the ".img" but not working.. I'm using ViaMichelin Navigation X-930, I think I need a file extension like ".FDP"

was wondering... what is the major difference between the standard map and the contributor;s map?

for example... going to sagada, is there a difference bet the 2 maps? in terms of roads listed and all?

See for yourself... download the standard map and the demo map v1.03. In Mapsource, go to Sagada and try switching between the standard map and the demo map v1.03. Or to be able to really see more additions to the map, go to an urban area like Metro Manila and toggle between the two maps and compare...

is it still the updated version since it is still Nov 2008.

Hi. There is an updated map, the roadguide.ph v1.03. But you need to be a contributor to be able to get the map. Please read the FAQ's and "How to's" on how to be a contributor...

Hi Jan,

Thanks for the maps. I noticed when I try to select Cebu from MapSource Maptool, It does not show in the map name.

Also, I would like to contribute maps as well but since I'm out of the country, the only available maps on hand are maps with .MIF files. This are digital road level maps. I try to compare the maps you have and the maps I have it looks that some location I got the more detailed one.

Let me know your thoughts about this.

probably not. you'd have to use a windows machine to run the exe. unless you have parallels. maybe. dunno

boss jan hope you update this too cause its hard to ask for unlock codes i have 2 fones with gps my mapsource unlock map is only for my garmin so theres no way i could use them on my fone

problem configuring

Mga sir,

just got my sisters garmin nuvi 250 from the US. I believe its pre loaded with NT maps USA. i try downloading this philippine maps gmapsupp.img and jlink 5.08 and followed instructions to load to my garmin but wont work, kindly help i need advice,thanks

Tried using gmappsup.img on my nuvi 205, first downloaded the filed to my computer and then transferred to a micro sd card. Then inserted the card to my unit but can't seem to find the map or even the micro sd card. Did I miss something here?

Jibu, I just connect my nuvi 205 using the usb cable from my external portable hard drive and use mapsource to "select" the whole Philippines map (once selected the map will be highlighted in red) and "sent" the map to my nuvi 205. The map works fine most of the time. There are always some "glitches" once in a while.
