Sorry for bothering you guys, Can I have a step by step how to use the Philippines map. after I download the file. I got the Garmin edge 705 GPS unit as my Christmas present. and really at a lost on how to upload.

Upload maps

Tried using gmappsup.img on my nuvi 205, first downloaded the filed to my computer and then transferred to a micro sd card. Then inserted the card to my unit but can't seem to find the map or even the micro sd card. Did I miss something here?

Hi Jan,

Thanks for the maps. I noticed when I try to select Cebu from MapSource Maptool, It does not show in the map name.

Also, I would like to contribute maps as well but since I'm out of the country, the only available maps on hand are maps with .MIF files. This are digital road level maps. I try to compare the maps you have and the maps I have it looks that some location I got the more detailed one.

Let me know your thoughts about this.

I noticed when I try to select Cebu from MapSource Maptool, It does not show in the map name.

If i may answer... you cannot select Cebu only using the map tool in Mapsource. It is part of the "Visayas" mapset and you'll see this name if you click on Cebu or other parts of the Visayas with the map tool...HTH

I try selecting everything by dragging the MapTool in the entire map but still not showing.

That is last year's map. You should download the roadguide demo map. Pls. get it from here: http://roadguide.ph/forums/showthread.php?t=17

You need this demo map to check if the data you are planning to contribute is already in the map or not. In the meantime, you can use the Philippines Routable 5.17 map uploaded to your device.
