I think I got it right this time... deleted previous waypoints but maintained waypoints not seen from 1.06 :sly:

Cebu and Talisay Waypoints and Ayala Tearaces I took the moderrators advice and spread the waypoints out as best as I could. there are 44 restaraunts all located on three floors of the Cebu Ayala Tearaces. all close togeather but they are all great places to eat. I also added in the phone numbers that I could get.

both your uploads contain the same waypoints... but the 2nd seems to be the one with the correct symbols... kindly delete your 1st upload to prevent duplication. thanks

thanks for the info... i thought that aside from the edited waypoints, I have to submit the unedited waypoints from my gps unit .

BTW, did I do it correctly? This is my first time uploading waypoints so I'm not quite sure if I did it correctly.

Comments:
- Yellow Cab Recto - wrong format; location at middle of road, it should be corrected in mapsource prior to upload
- Lrt Recto, Il Terraza - already shown on map unless its a correction; if its a correction, you need to post "for deletion" file in correction thread.
Kindly read more on "How to" thread so you could understand it clearly.

my mistake... will do better next time.
I already edited yellow cab recto before uploading it and there's no il terraza in my current map but I guess it doesn't matter cuz I got the wrong map. LOL. I guess I got too excited. I just got my GPS yesterday

gets ko na... LOL. I think I have to put the old map 5.17 side by side against the new map demo 1.06 (which can't be used in my GPS) and see if the waypoint I added in 5.17 is not yet in 1.06. Pasensya... newbie

Hi GPS_FRANK. Nice set of waypoints you gathered. I noticed though that the symbols for the coffee shops is not right. Since there is no specific symbol for coffee, it will have the "restaurant" symbol. If you're in doubt as to what symbol to use, just do a search in Mapsource (using the 5.17 or demo map) for say "Starbucks" and take note of what symbol is used for that POI. Same goes also for the Citi hardware (shopping icon), skycable & other waypoints of yours (building icon can be used). Please try to see what symbol would best represent them based on what is being used in the demo map. Please bear in mind that the icon you use will be used as basis when doing a POI search. HTH

And please check for duplicates as well, like the Cebu capitol waypoint...

Sorry to inform you that this format is not acceptable. Please just upload the Mapsource .gdb file with the waypoints properly labelled, located on their side of the road and with the correct symbols. HTH

hehehe some of the waypoints already in the map like the wai ying and the la grande mansion which incidentally contributed by me hehehe

please check on the 1.06 demo map first before uploading coz if not we'll have double or maybe triple entry and lots to be corrected.

... checked your upload again and seems HBT is right, la grande mansion is there already, exact same location as your upload but with a different spelling: grande against granda (which is which), and HBT forgot to put an "@" to separate the address, qualifies for a correction i'd say... As for wai ying, i'll leave it up to you two to agree which is the more accurate waypoint location (over a few bots of beer maybe? baka neighbors kayo, hehe, and pls. continue your discussion sa PM, sori)...

aside from "grande" (granda is the right one, 100% sure )... the street name is also wrong. the previous address is savinopadilla while the right one is sabino padilla.

I think waiying should be near benavidez street to avoid confusion. The entrance of the restaurant is two steps away (or a sidewalk away) from benavidez. The previous waypoint is a bit far from waiying's
