Attached is the corrected file.
As advised in previous reply to posts, 7-11 to have the convenience store symbol. However, the Globe Telecom I assigned as just a flag mark as i do think none of the preset symbols fit the business center (except for 'shopping' that i previously assigned - we shop phone at globe was the logic behind it).

Is there any post re: protocols on symbols to use when in doubt? Or some topic on symbols you would like us to use for certain common establishments?

Attached are some waypoints I added which are missing in 1.06 demo. There were also WP that had been doubled or not existing. I hope it helps, I'm from Batangas City.
I noticed from the demo ver many roads were not included in batangas city area and other batangas municipalities. I'm trying to add by using "track" tool but it's kinda difficult is there any easy tool available for this task?

Hi dofre. Your waypoints file contains a mix of corrections and new POIs. Please edit your file to separate the two as corrections (like street names) need to be uploaded in the correction thread and the new POIs in this thread. Please put in the appropriate symbols also (banks, & etc.). You can check out and download the other members' contributions to see what symbol they used for a particular POI that is same as yours. Also you've made a comment "to be added" in most of the POIs. If you intend to add more info like the POI address or telephone number, please do so before uploading to avoid duplication later. You see, if this upload of yours will be processed and then you decide later to add comments, you would then have to upload a "delete" file as well to avoid duplication. Or if after a few days you upload the same corrected file but did not un-attach this file, result would be duplication still. Hassle isn't it?

The other delete file you uploaded should also be in the corrections thread... HTH and TIA

Hi Decoder777. Please check your uploaded file. A lot of waypoints there are duplicates (like those taken in Siquijor, SM Marilao, SBMA Beaches at ang dami pang ibang beaches and POIs), some waypoints are personal and only you know what they stand for, some have abbreviated names (acceptable only for banks like BPI, BDO & etc.) but not for BGLLON & etc., some duplicates are even in the wrong places (see Chin Loong), spell check needed (proper use of upper/lower case as well), and almost all do not have the proper symbols . Please review the "How to's" so you'll know how to properly prepare your file for upload. And check them against the demo map v1.06 to avoid duplications. It's the member's responsibility after all to edit his/her contribution properly before uploading or you effort will go to waste as uploads like these won't make it to the map... HTH

I hope I get the hang of this. I guess the best thing is to "Google" each waypoint and see what else can be added.

just a clarification... I'm from Mandaluyong and i often pass by Shaw Blvd... AFAIK, there is no Shell along Shaw Blvd. cor. S. Laurel St... that area used to be owned by the Laurel's until Sen. Manny Villar bought it and renamed it Villa Pacencia.

if you are not sure on what specific symbols to use on some establishments... safe to use would be "Building" symbols.


if you also have made some corrections on your previous uploads... better to just delete the previous one and upload the corrected file... as what Borgie and Pokz have said... this is to avoid duplications. thanks
