Angat, Bulacan and Vicinity

Hello,

Finally I am done completely with the town proper of Angat, Bulacan and vicinity. Although pretty small, it took me 5 days to have this completed. I spent around 20 liters of diesel going thru and around street after street. I survived 2 crashes on my mobile phone. Rode on a tricycle in some other parts as my pick up won't be able to fit in thru the roads and I walked thru the small hidden walkways. These are all actual tracks made on my Garmin XT with location set to “At GPS location” and not “On Roads”. Recording interval at “most often”. Note that all my tracks have their corresponding street names on them already if names do exist.

There was one street though that’s supposed to be corrected. I have marked it with “Erase this” on the waypoints as it is just a driveway for big trucks on a big property.

I have also created Reyes Street, which is supposed to be there. (Not shown on the 1.06 version)

The subdivision in FF Cruz doesn’t have any street names ( Temporary names are FFCruzRxx on the waypoints. ) yet but I will keep you updated when they finally have it. Note that there is added road to this. See waypoint FFCruzR9. There are many bridges connecting the town but only few has got a name written on them. The others were just marked as ‘Bridge-Unknown’ . I have to research those names and eventually would follow soon as I find out. To the best of my knowledge, I have mark all the important waypoints in the town itself and in the vicinity of those in my pathways. As I have said, it is a pretty small.

Some additional roads are clearly drawn in my vicinity. There are more to follow as I find the time to draw them in my Garmin XT.

My experience included near accidents backing out from dead ends and from a 2way narrow streets, I drove into really rough muddy roads got interviewed by locals and bystanders alike. Some may have mistakenly took me as a bad guy in a pick up truck going around streets because I am in a very slow speed. But all in all, I am so proud and I have enjoyed doing this for Angat. I want to be considered as the starter and a major contributor on the creation of GPS map for my town, and hopefully, I will be able to contribute as well on the adjacent that will connect the road arteries linking further to the other towns……and also I hope that this contribution would be considered for the granting of a contributor’s map that I am so excited to have, least expect that I will continue to contribute more on my next road trek.

I hope every town should have a well documented copy of the town streets like what I have done so as to complete the whole Philippine Map as a reference.

Ortigas Ave Ext Turn Restrictions

Hope this describes the turn restrictions in this road so GPS can route correctly.

I included the track as well to include a better view of the road to include on-off ramps and u-turn slots at the ends.
