HI,

I am a newbie here..just joined yesterday

Added a few points of interest around Manila Manila, and some more.
Renamed a few establishments.

I will be uploading for some waypoints for deletion as well on the other thread.

I hope I am doing it right.

nice contributions sir.
would like to correct a few points.
1. renaming of waypoints should also be at the waypoints correction file together with the delete waypoints. some of the waypoints for renaming is originally on the wrong location also (mano's greek taverna and st. stephen's high school), i suggest instead of just renaming for both just make a delete file for the 2 waypoints and make a new one wiith your correct location, icon and name and iclude it on the add file.
2. minor adjustments on some distances (caltex@tayuman, magnitude), if magnitude is on the correct location, pls include raw track if possible, but if none, then just indicate "no recorded tracks" on comment field. other waypoint distances are generally ok.
3. i would like to verify if your parking waypoint is inside the parking area or at the entrance of parking area?

Thank you for the valuable tips..

1. For mano's greek taverna and St. Stephen's, the location seems to be correct. I just corrected their names
St. Stephens has buildings separated by La Torre.

2. For Caltex@Tayuman ..it is located on a "pointed" corner so I am having a dilemma on how to make it 25-30 feet from the street
Unfortunately, I am still waiting for my GPS to arrive...but I can assure you that the waypoints I provided are correctly placed.

3. As for the Magnitude parking near BDO there is actually a "nameless" street perpendicular to C5 ,
There are parking spaces along the street. The one I plotted is the "inner" parking entrance it has a parking/toll barrier that separates it from the outer parking. I will try to take a picture of it once I get the chance.

I hope that there will be more contributors for provincial areas..as I love road trips but kept getting lost haha

hello sir glenn,

you may have overlooked but you have overlapping waypoints (GNK wpts). pls edit to avoid overlapping waypoints.
pls check also distances as your fresh option meat jomafer wpt is too close to the road on the other side.
may i also verify if your wpt mazda pampanga is a waypoint of the mazda itself or a parking waypoint? (as you have used a parking icon on the wpt)
and if possible, pls include raw tracks for your wpts that are on areas where there are no roads yet on the map (tiger, stronghold, etc.). if no tracks were recorded, pls indicate it at comment field.

1.) GNK are 2 seperate wpts. one is a food complex and the other is a grocery. should I just group it as 1 wpts?
2.) Mazpa wpts is a show room, i would have used the building icon but i saw on the 1.09 demo map of Nissan which used the parking icon so i just followed it. BTW, nissan is a show room also not a parking lot.
3.) Moved wpts of fresh option jomafer
4.) edited comment on tiger construction.

btw, i noticed the POIs of 1.09 that not all of them have other details aside from the name of establishments. eg: bpi (1.2 NW), bpi (3.3 N) , bpi 10.0 (NW). the branch name or general location or city name are not present. how can I help to correct this for POIs in pampanga?

1. yup. better 2 separate waypoints but move the other one a little so that they will not overlap.
2. imo, it is better to use building icon rather than the parking icon to avoid confusion.
3. thanks. as long as it is on the correct postion, it was between the two roads before, now, it is on the other side.
4. you may include your raw tracks even though it is a non-1-sec track (also for stronghold gym and hotel gracelane). better to have a non-1-sec track than no tracks at all. you may ever upload your non 1-sec track at tracks thread as long as there is no existing tracks yet.

please do try as much as possible to submit 1s tracks.
please do cut the non 1s tracks into the parts that are not in the map yet, sifting through them takes a lot of time which could be used better

additional correction:
1. your abenson nepomall wpt should be at waypoint corrections thread (renaming) also distance of the wpt should be submitted for correction.

as for your addendum, that's why we are contributing because we are continuously improving our map. for those poi's that have no details or on wrong location or with incomplete/incorrect name, submit a correction file (whether delete, rename or change icon or combination of those) and submit it at waypoints corrections thread.
wouldn't it be nice to be driving around with a very accurate and updated map?

Thanks sir, question, what do you mean by check my distances? I don't have bridge icon on my mapsource. I'm very much willing to learn. I want to create roads in our newly created subdivision also. Thanks. I hope i could get lock code so i will know what i can contribute and avoid duplicates.
