Upload your waypoints here for version 1.10 part 2
Ah ok, i guess i have to re edit since i used the 5.17. I observed that there is a change in waypoint locations when shifting from 5.17 to 1.09.
I will use the 1.09. Thanks doki.
N. Ideal distance of waypoints with respect to the road
To be consistent and to make the waypoints look better in the map, please place your waypoints at a distance of 8 to 10 meters (25 to 30 ft) perpendicular from the center of the road.
Please use the "Distance/Bearing tool" in the mapsource. Another method is to move a waypoint perpendicular to road then stick it to the center of the road, then move it again back, but taking note of the distance from the center of the road (take a look at the bottom left corner of your mapsource screen) until it's at least 8-10m from the road. (suggestion by Borgie)
2. there are also 2 entries for garbes & garbes. (pls check) (and check also the icon used).
3. pls don't forget to submit a correction for waypoint (petron and mother theresa medical center) if your waypoint is correct and the existing one is on the wrong side of the road. and submit it on the proper thread. these correction will greatly improve the accuracy of the map. but before doing so, pls make sure that your data is accurate.
4. pls remove also unecessary waypoints (provincial highway, etc.)
5. P. Waypoints along tracks not yet existing in the map
To avoid confusion whether a waypoint that was uploaded is located along a non-existing track in the current map version, please include the raw track along with the waypoints combined in one file only. The tracks will be used as reference only and will ensure that indeed the waypoints positioning are up to standard. If no track was recorded (waypoints only), then please indicate in the comment field by putting "no tracks" or "tracks missing".
Some waypoints in Rockwell Power Plant Mall hope this could help cheer!
J. What about waypoints inside a building or mall? How do we position them?
For waypoints inside malls or multiple level buildings, the preferred positioning of waypoints is to spread them throughout the building. In this case, the exact location of the waypoint is not much important as long as they are within the bounds of the building. What is important is to put the proper address of the waypoint, i.e. Pizza Hut@2nd Level, SM Sucat. Then make sure that SM Sucat's waypoint location is accurate and preferably with the complete address. In essence, if we want to find Pizza Hut using our gps, we will be given a list of all Pizza Huts near our location including that one located in SM Sucat. And if we decide to eat at Pizza Hut in SM Sucat, then we look for the waypoint of SM Sucat. In short, we look for the building where the waypoint is located and route our gps to go to that building. Anyway, it will be impossible to route directly to a waypoint inside a building, so the best thing to do is search the building's waypoint itself.
And please refrain from positioning waypoints inside a mall on top of each other. Always try to spread them out.
various waypoints in Las Pinas - Paranaque - Manila
hello sir padrino.
if you will allow me to help. here are some points.
1. pls check the distance of your waypoints. it should be 8-10m(25-30ft) from the center of the road. N. Ideal distance of waypoints with respect to the road

2. pls check location of your police outpost (is it really on the river?)
3. with regards to your other waypoints.
I. Should waypoints necessarily be located at the center of the POI?
No. We would rather prefer that the waypoints be at the side of the street. The same reason that waypoints of subdivisions were moved to the gates/entrances...imagine if it is located in the middle of the subdivision...gps will route you first to the middle of the subdivision before it says that you have arrived at your destination. Better if it says "arriving at destination" and you're at the gate asking the guard for someone's house. Unless of course it is searchable by street name, but that's another matter.
For other establishments like food chains, buildings, etc....it would be better if the waypoint is located in parking areas in front of the building near the street. No need really to get at the middle of the structure. If this will be the case, most of our waypoints will be located inside the building which will make all of them too far from the road. Hope this clears things up.

hello sir toyger. merry christmas. looks good. just re-check your jollibee at carcar rotunda. (i am presuming that it is at the corner of the street upon entering the rotunda)
O. Placement of waypoints along a street corner
a. Waypoint has access on one side of the corner - place the access side 8-10m from the street and the non-access side >8-10m to put a bias on the access side.
b. Waypoint has access on both sides of the corner - place the waypoint equidistant (8-10m) from both streets. No bias.
hello sir mjaymd. pls re-check some of your waypoints since they exceed the 8-10m(25-30ft) standard. you may have overlooked it (same as what happened to me before). also, pls indicate if the waypoint is on a non-existing track to avoid confusion. thanks.
