Whew...took 1 hour to reinstate the nodes to its original quantity and positions. Do we have a way so that MapEdit will not trim those nodes during the conversion into polygon process.

Im afraid theres no other way sir.
Maybe no need to really align all nodes to original positions, only those with overlaps and self intersection.
Have you tried running ->tools -> verify map?
It will point out only those nodes that need repair.

Yes sir if you want to adjust nodes, its better when polyline is still there to guide you. After aligning then you can run verify tool as final check.

I have traced this canal river that comes from the Dam on the Bago River.
However sections of the trace from google overlaps with tracks that run alongside the river / canal ban that I have mapped on my bike. One of my favourite trails so have recorded the tracks many times.

Can the tracing be adjusted?

Hi Dave,

That is the reason why we have to calibrate the GE tracings to coincide with our map. Since that is your area and you have actual gpa data, just select the river trace then drag it to reposition it so that it will not overlap with your tracks. That is, if you are really sure that your tracks are accurate.

In addition to Tofu's reply...if there are nearby existing roads in our map, you can also do Sec F of our Polygon std as additional check.
