GTR#34 Track in Cebu for Calibration.
GTR#34 of 10th February, as plotted with my WBT-201 G-Rays2.
The WBT-201 was modified with u-Blox utility, to have Tracking every 250ms rather than standard 1,000ms (ie 4Hz Tracking). To cut down on logged track points, they are logged only if 'Change of Heading' varies by 2 Degrees to left ot right of previous Track Point. This gives smoother 'bends', without lots of track points, when effectively heading in the same direction.
Trouble is there is not deci-second timestamps, so on bends one can get 4 x Track points, all with same Time Stamp.
Map Source sometimes displays them in the wrong order, making it appear that we suddenly went backwards, then forwards again!Comment

GTR#35 Track Cebu to Barili for Calibration.
We went off the Main Road before Gaisano @ Carcar and headed NW for about 7Km before heading SE. Road is good surface mostly but is broken and bumpy in places, for last section to Carcar to Mantalongon main Road.
After Molave Milk Station and then Dakit Elementary School we took a junction heading South. The road surface is broken in places and a bit bumpy. But any car should mange just fine if these bumpy parts are taken slower and can mange this alternate Route to Bolok Bolk Springs & Mantayupan Falls.
It beats traveling the extra distance to Kawasan Falls!
I will submit a section of our return route to New Tracks, as that does not appear to be on the RG.ph Map for some reason (perhaps because it is not visible on Google Satellite Maps?).Last edited by Britster; 03-09-2013, 15:13.Comment
