Is your Nuvi capable of logging track?

    If not, try this.

You must have GPS TrackMaker software. Connect your GPSr, in GPS mode to your pc. Open GPS TrackMaker, click GPS tab, click Garmin Interface, click USB botton, click Product ID, and on Real-Time Navigation, click Garmin PVT Data and several monitors will come out and you will see your GPS icon in real time navigation. The track logs are saved on the GPS TrackMaker folder.

I think all GPSr are capable of logging track, it's the firmware that are not.

Are you familiar with nuvis specifically 680? How will I add GPS TrackMaker to my nuvi 680 if ever?

    Thanks

      Hi Pagedown,

You can download GPS Trackmaker from the web and install it into your pc. Use this software to connect your GPSr (Garmin, Lowrance, etc.) via USB or serial port in real time.
