1. upload data which isn't yet in the current demo version.
the data can consist of waypoints, tracks, routing info. check the how to section on more specific info.
Whatever you need answering, it probably has been asked and replied to before.

2. upload the data in the correct thread.
waypoints go in the waypoint thread, tracks in the track thread, corrections in the correction threads. the first post in those threads normally has more specific info. data uploaded somehwere else wont be considered for upgrade. harsh? maybe, but it simplifies everybody's life.
3. send a private message to the judge
in that message, include the links to your uploads and put the
unit id of your gps in the subject line. nothing more, nothing less.
If you already have contributor status, no need to send a pm with your contributions anymore.
send the pm to
the judge not to me, nor to the mods, it will be ignored if it's not send to the judge.
harsh? maybe, but it simplifies everybody's life.

4. What data gets you the upgrade?
ok:
POI's with names and symbol properly filled in
Tracks which are not in the map, or those with a better resolution than the ones which are in the maps.
Routing info (streetnames, one ways, turn restriction, no entry because of gates, errors in map ,that sort of stuff)
Polygon traces (buildings, rivers, parks,...)
not ok:
POI with missing data.
low resolution tracks.

- please don't waste our time with only sending a handful of contributions while asking for the contributors map... (there's no fixed number of minimum poi or similar but less than 15 never has gotten an unlock code)
- don't try any excuses to get the contributors map. Only contributing helps.
- offering money won't work neither.
This is the only way to get the upgraded map.
