I saw that one too, problem is there are too many sellers of Garmin units here in the Philippines and we don't know the legitimate distributor plus online purchase is much cheaper.

It appears that "Marpo Tech" is an authorized Garmin Disti. (http://www.garmin.com.sg/distributor/philippines/)
      There's no place like 127.0.0.1

The best way to look at it is that everyone who claims they are.. is.

It is obvious that there is no exclusivity with Garmin anymore, so almost everyone who claims they are, are Authorized Distributor.

What does that mean for us? Well nothing, because after all most of us are happy enough to buy from the US and bring it in here, there are even Grey market importers that do well.

The important thing is to choose which shop/company offers the item that you are looking for Price, models, warranty, maps etc.

The Ad might actually be from Garmin themselves or by Navteq.

        My opinion only.
