    Any mountaineer here?

Anyone who loves to climb mountains and who's into GPS tracking also? Let's climb! I'm a freelance and would love to put the trails on our map so that other mountaineers may also find them useful.

Just went on a Makiling Traverse last weekend doing the Sto. Tomas - UPLB route.

Hello rem, I also climb once in a while, but i haven't been to any mountain other than Mt. Talinis here in Negros Oriental. I have tracks on trailheads going in and out of the area. If by chance you can come here, I would gladly volunteer to guide you.

yes, a day is enough to trek to the summit then back. But there are other interesting areas you might want to see like Lake Nailig and Kaipohan Sulfur vents.

            Talinis WP's

            rem,
actually there are two Talinis peaks, one with altitude of approx 1800m and the more accessible 1710m. As for Kaipohan Area, it's a geothermal phenomenon, an eerie sight with scattered dead tree stumps and bubbling vents.

Yeh I like mountaineering and rock climbing. I hope to get up the top of Mt Kanlaon before the rainy season starts in earnest. But first I need to get back some fitness - even the walk up the waterfalls at Mambukal was hard work!
